24hours – Done!

We did it! Played golf for 24 hours earlier this week, finished at 7pm on Tuesday, completely exhausted but elated! All to raise funds for the Mental Health Charity MIND.

Huge thanks to all those that helped and supported me, it was tough but I couldn’t of done it without you all behind me.

I will be posting some facts and figures soon but as a taster I played 124 holes and walked 32 miles during the event, played in the rain, sun, wind and the pitch black of night, some holes were played dressed as a dinosaur! see photos.

Another challenge done!

Finally, February is complete and so are we with our challenge to raise funds for NHS Charities.  The team from Building IS set out to do 150miles each, Gary was running and cycling, Geoff was cycling and Lee was indoor rowing the same distance (240km) we all made a good start and realised that the targets for the cyclists were a bit too easy so we increased them to 240miles to relate to the 240km Lee was doing on his rowing machine.

Yesterday was our final day and we have all smashed our targets:-

Gary has cycled 280miles and Run 20, making a great total of 300miles!

Geoff has beaten his target and cycled 282miles in total!

Lee also beat my target by rowing 280km which is 174miles!

We want to thank you all for the support over the month, you can still donate to this great cause on the link below.

Now for a well deserved rest. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/miles4nhs

Gary has cycled and run 156miles so far and Geoff has cycled 164miles.

Miles 4 NHS…

We have decided to do a quick, off the cuff challenge in honour of the NHS and its heroes! Lee, Gary and Geoff from Building Integrated Services Ltd are going to complete 450miles between during February, each in their own way.

Lee is going to indoor row his 150miles (240km) whilst Gary is going to combine running and cycling for 150miles, Geoff will be doing his 150miles by cycling, regular updates will be posted on here.

Building IS have been proud to be working with the NHS to create ward space at the start of the pandemic as well as creating vaccine centres over the last couple of months, with this in mind the three of us thought it was a good time to give something back to the NHS for all the work they have done during these unusual and stressful times. Please donate if you can using our justgiving page, there is a link on our home page or you can go here https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/miles4nhs
