Smashed it…

Smashed it, 100km on the rowing machine..done!!

Now to get my target for donations, I will carry on rowing and growing until the last day of the month as long as I carry on getting donations, how far can go before 1st Dec?

Mental health matters. #Movember is working to help men stay mentally healthy, but they can’t do it alone. Please donate to my Movember efforts and support men’s health.Men’s health is in crisis.

Men are dying on average 6 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.Unchecked, prostate cancer rates will double over the next 15 years. Globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among men aged 15-39 years of age. And across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 75% of all suicides.

Movember is uniquely placed to address this crisis on a global scale. We fund groundbreaking projects all over the world, engaging men where they are to understand what works best and accelerate change.

Half way….

Half way through the month and the rowing and growing is going well. Just done another 12km on the rowing machine taking my total to 65km of my 100km target for Movember.

WHY MOVEMBER MATTERS Movember’s mission is more relevant now than ever. Social isolation has affected the mental health of all of us, including our fathers, partners, brothers, sons and friends. Especially those already finding it hard to stay connected. And its impact will stick around long after the pandemic is over. For men living with a cancer diagnosis, and their friends and family, COVID-19 has brought a range of new challenges. From interrupted treatments, to the increased risk of exposure to COVID-19 in hospitals and the isolation and loneliness felt by those going thought is all on their own.The world has changed. But a lot of things stay the same: men’s health is still in crisis, and we still need your help to stop men dying too young. Every pound makes a difference. Every donation you raise gives us much-needed funds and drives awareness.

Please support this great cause at

Its Movember time again…

Due to the current Coronavirus Pandemic we have decided to Postpone the Golf challenge that we had planned for June, we will let you all know when we have arranged another date. Please keep following us for updates and thank you for your support.

….MIND over matter….

As most of you know our next challenge is to play golf for 24 hours, without stopping, in order to raise funds and awareness for the mental health charity MIND. The challenge in itself is just as much mentally tiring as it is physically, trying to stay awake whilst chasing a little white ball round a field for 24hours is not a easy task, its bad enough on a normal round of golf! The quote:- “Be confused, it’s where you begin to learn new things. Be broken, it’s where you begin to heal. Be frustrated, it’s where you start to make more authentic decisions. Be sad, because if we are brave enough we can hear our heart’s wisdom through it. Be whatever you are right now. No more hiding. You are worthy, always. by S C Lourie is quite apt for our challenge. We have now set up a JustGiving page for donations to MIND, the link is If any golfers are interested in joining us or supporting us in other ways please do not hesitate to contact us.

The date is set…..

We have confirmed the date for our challenge this year, which is to play Texas Scramble golf for 24hours, teeing off at about 6pm on Friday 26th June, finishing the next evening. The event is to raise funds for MIND, the mental health charity. Any golfers or golf suppliers who are interested in joining or supporting us please contact us. More details will be posted soon, on here and facebook etc so keep an eye out.

Challenge update….

Quick update on our challenge for 2020, following our poll on facebook we have agreed to raise funds for MIND, the mental health charity. The challenge will be golf based and in June somewhen, full details to be finalised. If anyone is interested in getting involved or has some really good golf connections please get in touch.
